Twelve properties changed hands in Sheffield between Sept. 25 and Oct. 24, but the Southern Berkshire Registry of Deeds had recorded prices for only two as of this report. The known range runs from $60,000 for 136 Clayton Rd. to $826,000 for 64 Hewins St., which sold to Lee Bank; the resulting $443,000 midpoint reflects just those two sales. Hewins Street saw four of the month's 12 transfers, more than any other street. Five transactions involved a bank or credit union as buyer or seller. With prices still pending for 10 of 12 sales, the period's overall market tone cannot yet be determined from the available data.
