The board unanimously re-elected Lee Boudreaux as chair at its May 18 meeting, then voted to send a letter inviting the South County Connector's director to brief all seven member towns before their inter-municipal agreement expires June 30 — Sheffield has already appropriated $25,000 for the service. Town Administrator Renee warned that "if nobody gets this going, it's quite possible that sometime in June there will be no IMA." The board also approved a $50 late fee for time-sensitive food permit applications submitted fewer than two weeks before an event, with members agreeing the fee must be applied with no waivers. Additional actions included ratifying Nadine Hallmer's appointment to the Finance Committee, appointing Tom Taylor to the Board of Health, accepting the license surrender of Black Sheep Brewing Company (Big Elm Brewing and Bump Brewery, which ceased operations April 21), and approving Memorial Day parade permits for Ashley Falls and Sheffield center.
